"This month" total feedback

When looking at the entire months total. Expenses and incomes shouldnt appear in one total. It makes it appear that more is going out each month than what is actually true.

Example:
This month: $4000.00
Even though income is: $3100
And Expenses are $900

There should either be two separate totals:
Expenses: $ 900
Income: $ 3100.00

Or one true expense total:
This month: $900
